Late August Southern Norway

The two last weeks of August we spent on a round trip in Southern Norway.

Red-backed Shrike (tornskate) seemed to have had a good year, and several young birds were seen in Vestfold.

A young Marsh Harrier (sivhauk), Vestfold.

Roe deer (rådyr), Vestfold.

Common Buzzard (musvåk), Østfold.

Tits were on the move at Lista – even Crested Tits (toppmeis).

Slavonian Greebe (horndykker), Lista.

Plenty of shorebirds at Lista.

Sanderlings (sandløper), Lista.

Young Dunlin (myrsnipe), Lista.

Ruddy Turnstones (steinvender), Lista.

Bar-tailed Godwit (lappspove), Lista.

Brant Geese (ringgås), Lista.

A group of Bar-headed Geese (stripegås) had joined the Greylag Geese (grågås) in Orrevann, Jæren.

Temminck Stint (temmincksnipe), Jæren.

Young Peregrine (vandrefalk), Jæren.
